OUR STORY

The idea for In Between Places started approximately 7 years ago when we decided to sell our home to look for a home closer to the school that our children were attending. Once we sold our home and placed a contract on a new home, we found ourselves in between houses. We needed a place to stay for about two to three weeks. Fortunately, we were blessed by some family members and were able to stay with them. This experience led us to wonder where someone who is not able to stay with family or friends might stay if they are in the process of moving and are in between housing.

The house that we are currently living in has a large, walk-out basement that was mainly used for storage (we had a lot of stuff!!!). Since we were not really using our basement, we thought it would be a great idea to turn the basement into an apartment to offer individuals or families that are in between housing or needing a short-term rental solution. In February 2020, we hired a contractor and started turning our dream into a reality.

We are excited to offer a cozy, private, two-bedroom, one full bath basement apartment that is fully furnished. If you have any questions or needs, we work from home and are on-site most of the time. If we are not home, we are easily reached by text message or phone.

Our Family

We are a happy family of five with two dogs that live upstairs in the main part of the house. Nikko is our 3 year old standard poodle. He is a big guy but so friendly and sweet. Lucky is our 7 year old wire fox terrier. She is small but also very friendly. Both dogs love people and love to be pet!

Many of the pieces of furniture and signs in the apartment are unique and original. We partnered with Farmhouse Market Wood Designs by Erika to create beautiful, custom pieces of furniture and décor that add a personal touch to the apartment. Some of the furniture pieces and décor include, the queen sized bed and night stands in the Miners room, all coat and towel racks, the pantry and laundry signs, the round reading table and the entryway table. This basement apartment is quite the retreat! It is beautifully furnished, cozy, meticulously clean and so very homey. It is evident how much heart Jeramie and Andrea put into this special space, a heart to make others comfortable and at home as they visit the local area or are transitioning between housing.
